LinkedIn expert BRITTA BEHRENS on the podcast

Britta-Behrens-LinkedIn-Expertin-SAATKORN

In this episode of the SAATKORN podcast, I speak to Britta Behrens, a LinkedIn expert and consultant, about why LinkedIn has long since become much more than just another social media channel – particularly for HR managers, CEOs, sales professionals and HR tech companies.

Britta originally came from a background in media and B2B marketing, later moved into digital marketing and analytics, and eventually immersed herself fully in the world of LinkedIn. Today, she helps people and companies build visibility, networks and, above all, genuine business impact on LinkedIn.

One of Britta’s quotes really stuck with me:

“Impact rather than impressions.”

After all, LinkedIn isn’t about chasing every viral hit or racking up as many impressions as possible. What matters is reaching the right people, building trust and, in doing so, making a real difference to your career or your business.

Among other things, we discussed the following topics:

🎯 Why HR professionals should be visible

Job seekers have long since moved beyond simply researching companies; they’re now also looking into the people behind them. HR managers, executives, recruiters and employees can provide authentic insights into culture, leadership and collaboration – and thereby have a decisive influence on the employer brand.

💡 What HR tech providers should focus on in their LinkedIn communications

In the HR tech market in particular, communication still often revolves around product features, awards, trade fair appearances and company news. Britta’s advice: consistently put yourself in the customer’s shoes. What specific problem does your software solve – and why is this solution relevant to HR decision-makers?

🚀 Impact rather than vanity metrics

You don’t need 100,000 impressions to be successful on LinkedIn. Reaching the 500 or 1,000 people in your market who are truly relevant can be far more valuable. First, get your profile up to scratch, connect with your existing contacts, share relevant expertise regularly – and think of LinkedIn in conjunction with your website, PR, trade media, podcasts, events and corporate influencers.
