WorkTech, Health & Wellbeing becomes a platform business

Let me throw a thesis out there: Health & Wellbeing in companies is shifting from a classic service model (courses, coaches, prevention days) toward a real WorkTech and platform business.

From 2005 to 2010, I was responsible for “BeFit” at Bertelsmann – their corporate health and wellbeing unit. Back then, it was mainly about on-site programs, external providers, and good intentions. Measurability, scalability, integration? Not really.

Today, many of the providers I’ve been following for years on SAATKORN in podcasts and interviews – Likeminded, nilo.health, Auntie, MOVEVO, machtfit GmbH, mentalport GmbH, DearEmployee and others – are no longer just offering services. They are building platforms: access, matching, content, data, rollout, and integration into HR tech stacks.

This is exactly what Kimberly Breuer confirmed in the latest SAATKORN podcast. Likeminded and nilo health deliberately joined forces to build under nilo a joint health and wellbeing platform.

For me, this is the real shift: Wellbeing is becoming part of the WorkTech infrastructure. Not just a benefit, but an operating system for mental and physical health at work.

Of course, this remains a deeply human topic – trust, relationships and culture cannot be digitized away.

But the behind it is being rebuilt: platforms instead of paperwork, data instead of gut feeling, scaling instead of isolated measures.
